liquid sandpaper


Has anyone had good luck with Liquid sandpaper on old enamel paint.

Real sandpaper works better and will not effect the bonding of the paint.

liquid sandpaper


It's not that effective. I have used it in conjunction with sanding. I sand and then use the LS to wipe down the work. As a stand alone product, I don't trust it to do the job that sanding does.

In my opinion, dulling a sheen by chemical method is not as effective as etching the film and providing "tooth" for the text coat of paint.
