Liquid nails on my red oak and now want to stain.

Is my wood ruined? I accidentally smeared some liquid nails in my red oak. I am planning on sanding it when it dries.
is this a lost cause?

Thanks

What are you using the red oak on?

How big is the area that you affected?

Is the Oak getting any kind of stain when you do the finish work?

I made boxes around my jackposts in my basement.

about 5 areas the size of about 4 quarters put together.

I have not tried to stain it yet.
