Laytex on Laytex is peeling..
My landlord decided to hire a pro painter to repaint our place, as we are moving out. We painted the entire main floor with a fairly expensive SemiGloss Laytex paint, and when he was here fairly rapidly determined it was not adhesive to the original paint. He tested the original with nail polisher remove, and said it was Laytex paint and not oil. All the walls in the house was peeling, but the original paint was still holding up fine.. In the future, is there anyway to determine what the issue was. I have no idea if the wall were primed, or what paint was used as the original owners left nothing behind.
