Hi i just realized that my ceiling was painted with an oil base paint :furious:. It is a very very light yellow color, i already primed it with Zinsser 1 2 3 water base but i didn't sand now im worried that my ceiling will start to peel, it hasn't bubble up or anything and i only put one coat of primer since it was over a light color paint, but i don't know if i should put a second coat of primer keeping in mind that it is over oil base paint. What do you recommend? then im going to be painting it with Sherwin Williams Duration paint 2 coats.

I always prime oil0-based paint with Zinsser 123. Recently I started to use 123 Plus - covers most of water stains too. It may not be enough for greasy spots - in that case Cover Stain would work better but I think you are good to go.
I would always opt for oil primer over oil paint but 123 is a really good latex primer. I will alo question the Duration choice on the ceiling. Way overkill for the application.
I dont know i think ceiling paint is too flat maybe ? And it would probably get dirty more easily, maybe im wrong? =\ oh well i will make sure i use ceiling paint when we get to paint the entire house on summer. It was my first time painting with good quality stuff, i missed that one thing though (ceiling paint). But for the first time i think it hasnt been that bad except very painful! sore arms, bruises on legs, bones hurt! Ouch.. hahaha. For those of you who are professional painters, does your body get use to it? =\
True, very true, I was not (am not) complaining:laughing:
Actually don't feel to bad today
