For what you need check the box stores they have Graco sprayers geared for the HO. I'm not sure of the model numbers but they are like LTX7 or something like that. They are good sprayers they are not heavy duty like the pros use and don't have the big pumps to stand up to painting 100's of gallons of paint a month every month. But again for HO they are very good in fact my first sprayer was one of these the model back then was pro magnum9 and it lasted for years then I upgraded to a larger one.
The trouble with the rental is you don't really know the condition and they usually give you a generic tip that could possibly be worn badly. If you take the almost $300 rental fee off the price of the models I was talking about, buying may be you better option. Even then though you will still need to buy a tip the one that comes with them isn't good for your application.

I'll have miles of trim to paint and 6 panel doors to paint as well. So yeah, good investment for this project.

Okay I'm rolling it. Using 18". So far primer is on the lids and closets. Not as bad as I thought.
