Question

Kitchen wall paint

I have a kitchen open to the family room so they share common walls. My kitchen cabinets are original to the house and were custom made and stained what I call "sour cherry" red. We have had yellow walls and off white walls in the past, but so boring. The rooms are also dark as our backyard is heavily shaded so I can't use dark colors. The family room could be any color, but with the kitchen cabinets i have to pick a paint to go with them. I would like to use an accent color on the longest common wall and soffit. I have quartz countertops with specks of tan, brown, green, deep red etc. and stainless steel appliances. Any ideas out there for the wall colors?

I would go with the green as your accent color. Go to your local paint store and get yourself some paint chip strips with the green tints closest match to the green in your countertop and you should be good to go.

I can try that. Not sure if it would be too dark so I might have to find something in a contrasting lighter shade. Thanks.
