kitchen cabinets


hello,

we are trying to update our kitchen with very limited money they are painted whit ebut are so nasty
i t ried to post a picture but they are saying its too big but its all white cabinets and walls adn we have decor that is red ,gold green which is from a plate collection with chefs. are living room is yellow and a tangerine that leads into the kitchen. i am told to paint them again in a color but not sure if we should do white an dhave th ebackground in a color or we should do some adhesive wood veneer. p[lease give me advice

Holy crap, that's a WHITE kitchen.

Since your dishwasher is white, I'd suggest leaving the cabinets white as well. Paint your walls a different color, and if your budget permits, update your cabinet hardware (unless you just really like those knobs).

yup that is how it was when we bought it . so you do not think we should paint th ecabinets a color but just repaintt hem white and paint tthe background a color like greenish

Just purchase very colorful dishes, mugs and pots & pans, store them in the upper cabinets and rip the doors off.

WAY too much white there - welcome back to the 80's!

well that we have but the cabinets are very nasty they were painted before we got here and they do not clean well when you clean them they leave marks and are very dirty

Yup, that's what I would do. Either that, or leave the cabinet frames white and paint the doors and drawer faces the same color as the wall.

not sure what you mean by either that or paint the drawers and doors the same colors as the walls can you give me an example of a color scheme you would mean so i can get an idea. do you mean paint the cabinets doors green and the walls but leave behind the doors white

we also need to redo our counter tops as they painted those white to we think its formica underneath can not tell but it scrapes, nicks and chips easily so i need a color choice fo rthat too. was thinking black but the dishwasher is white unless we replace that eventually need ideas

holy crap now that is color ...not that much though. we just went to lowes adn found the cabinet doors you buy adn the adhesive backing looks good but could be pricey
