I've stripped four hundred staircases
and I want desperately to tell others HOW. But the tallest has been 3.5 stories. DOES ANYONE HAVE A TALLER ONE I COULD HELP OUT ON?

Well, give us more info. What parts are you stripping exactly? Treads, risers, handrails, spindles, stringers?
How many coats of paint are on it? Is it inside or outside? How big is this staircase? You're looking at a tedious, unpleasant, time consuming job. What kind of wood is it? Is it really old, good wood, worth stripping? Or is it common, newer wood, better left painted? |
