Insulating Paints

Is there any value to the insulating paints (like Hy-tech). I know this would not replace normal insulation, but would it help in say a basement setting with block walls that we do not wish to do complete wall work, etc on at this time.

Insulating Paints

Nope

To be accurate, I should say that so far I have not met, or even heard of, any professional in the business that has any data that the stuff works at all, or carries the product, or offers the service
In a nutshell, we all think it's a load
Which is probably why they now market directly to homeowners

Insulating Paints

I agree with slickshift.
There is nothing out there to show that it really works.
I sprayed an addition to an existing house with the stuff. I looked like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz when it was over.
I did ask the home owner to call me and let me know if he thought it worked. It's been over a year, and still no call.
