i painted a kitchen chair


i painted a kitchen chair and was wondering if i need to put on a poly top coat?

i would strongly recommend it. i refinish a lot of furniture. .. . ofter times painting/glazing 5-10 steps.. . even over latex paint, a poly will strengthen your finish. i would strongly recommend waterbased minwax oil modified urethanes. VERY durable. the oil polys hold up great, but yellow your existing color
