... and she didn't tape off the dark wood trim around our doors and windows. She said she thought her hand would be steady enough but it wasn't. So here's the situation:
We painted our living room a nice bold yellow color. Since they weren't taped off, the window and door trim has yellow paint all over it. The trim is a nice thick dark (stained) wood. We have a lot of paint to remove and I'm wondering what's the best way to do it. We have to be careful not to scratch or dull the wood finish. I've tried mineral spirits with a green brillo pad and a putty knife for when I needed to scrape it but it damaged the wood a little bit. We used Sherwin Williams paint so it's good stuff.
Would it make sense to just sand the whole surface down and re stain it? If not, what would be the best way to do this?
Thanks.
