I feel unsure..

Hello Everyone..
I am in the middle of several renovations in my home.. its harder to complete than I wanted it to be!
To the point.. I have a stairway that is one of those with the 20ft walls and no windows.. I have chosen a paint colour Behr 510D-4 w.. and I have chosen a white trim and a white railing. My kitchen is going to be a green ...its a rather yellow'ish green that is warm and mid to light in shade ( Expressions Gallery 11D2-04). My problem is that I dont know a good color to paint my living room as it is between the stairway/hallway and kitchen. Should i paint this front entry hallway the same colour as the living room? or should I paint it the stairway colour? What is a good colour for inbetween the rooms? my livingroom floor is a dark brown rustic hardwood.. and the stair way floor is a very light maple hardwood..
I want to get my house together for the holidays and what not.. and I cant pick a colour or nail down even a possibility! how frustrating..
Thank you in advance to those that decide to respond.

Most of the pro painters here refuse to use Behr, for numerous reasons. ( search this site for 'behr', you'll see...)
The top names seem to be Sherman Williams and Ben Moore, although others receive praise as well.
As already stated, pics always help us to help you here. Po)

I would go with a Benjamin Moore paint color “Springfield Tan” from the America’s colors collection in a satin.

Hire an interior decorator for color help. and as paint goes, STAY AWAY FROM BEHR PAINT!! As a paint salesman for fourteen years, I can tell you that your money is better spent with the higher quality paint lines from companies like Sherwin Williams, Ben Moore, PPG, Pratt and Lambert. And they will offer better service and knowledge than a box store or a hardware store. Some paint stores (the larger ones) always have some lady there to help you with colors, and check this website out, I am still learning things from this lady: http://www.bestpaintcolors.com/BestP...lors/Home.html

Yep...this kinda stuff falls into the realm of Decorators!

Seeing/using COLORS In-real-life is their forte after all.

The Gardenweb Home-Decorating forum is a very busy one for these kinds of issues. A real-life visit is obviously the BEST way to go!

Sounds like you need a color specialist. If you go to your local hardware/paint store they usually have one there ask at the paint desk! they are not that much money in the Boston area $75 per hour can cover three rooms so basiclly $75. NOT TOO BAD
