Hey guys,

Trying to figure out what exactly is the paint or texture that this guy is using. Im really curious...

In this link its the white paint (the high gloss looking finish) he also has a black finish that is probably the same type of thing in the first picture.

anyone have any ideas?

I know my son has built some speaker cabinets for friends and had them covered with truck bed liner. Looks like that could POSSIBLY be it??

O.K., so I'm not in the business, but yes a friend is and I have seen his work. He uses only epoxy paints for his speaker cabinets, and sprays the paint on. He actually acquired an older, smaller, used, auto paint booth just for removing it. The auto body shop put in one of the newer units. Dave makes his cabinets for autos, boats and homes. He uses basically plywood for the main structure, then veneers for the finished, viewable surfaces. He hand sands a lot of the surfaces to get them just right. As far as prepping the surface, I don't know, I just have not seen this part yet. But when he sprays the epoxy paint on, it has a deep gloss to it. Then he polishes it after a thorough drying. I have seen Dave use the truck bed liner on some cabinets also, and combination's of the two.
