How smooth is smooth enough when sealing flooring, etc

At 100G, it's my understanding that while the floor may still feel rough.....it's the finish coatings that give it the smooth feeling on the top / topical layer.

Don't know how fine I should be going on the wood.

assume you got floors finished? yeah 100 usually okay it fills the holes and forms barrier. Just make sure no swirlies.
