How many coats do I need?

I am painting my existing exterior eaves and facia board. I water blasted, scraped and primed with one coat of Vista water based exterior Terminator 2 Primer Sealer Stain Killer. I have applied one coat of Vista Carefree 100% acrylic enamel semi gloss? Color is shell white. Do I need to use a second coat or do you recommend I put a second coat? Thanks

We always put a second coat on just to be safe. It is your house and your money though and if it looks good and covered well then ..........

Just for future reference, besides applying two finish coats, an oil based primer id recommend for exterior work, especially any bare wood.

I was not painting over bare wood but wood that was painted already and scraped. I painted some other eaves at my house aboout 4 years ago and I am going to recoat that too. An old retired painter in my neighborhood once told me to paint the eaves every 3 years so I didnt have to deal with paint drying out and peeling.
