How to finish the paint on a coffee table?

Well I can't see any routing on it. So if you used a router to round the edges, it must be very subtle, so that it didn't even cut through the first ply. In that case, I guess routing is OK. You don't normally leave the edges of plywood exposed on nice projects like that, but you kind of had a unique situation there.

How to finish the paint on a coffee table?

hi guys!!! I feel bad it took me so long to get back to you all. I actually ran into some personal delays... It happens

Anyway, I had to wrap this little project quicker than I thought. I've learned quite a bite although I'm still unsure about how to get a super-smooth finish with paint... Brush, roller, spray? Still hard to believe that anything would get me a perfect result on top and edges... I do believe that Home Depot paint was not my brightest idea but I had to start somewhere.

But here is what it looks like after a few coats. Used a 1" brush for the edge and foam roller for top.

I just finished that last week. I'll wait another week or two and try to finish it up with some cardboard as suggested. I'll start under first...

I'll definitely come back for more help... I think next project might be rustic barn door Thanks again for all your help!!!

I too can't see where you did any routing, but if in the future you need to paint a cut ply edge make sure you seal it before painting, and may I ask what kind of saw you used for the cutout, nice job I can almost see where I live.

I actually used one of the cheapest jigsaw from Home Depot. Took a few blades to get there.

Excellent job cutting that table, that must have been fun. Have you tried a Moe Hair roller? I have used them and the finish is smoother than a regular nap roller pad.

I really like this table. Good job. I see your cat likes it also. I'd want to protect it with a coat of urethane if it wouldn't affect the color.
