How do you paint a Christmas tree?

I am new here. Most of the needles fell off my live Christmas tree. I am hopeful that someone on here could suggest what brand of green paint to use so I can paint needles on my now needleless tree.

I have heard great things about Behr paint and Home Depot is open on Christmas day here so I can go get the paint today. Should I use silicone caulk to try and reattach some of the needles? I may even try to spray the green paint onto the tree. Any tricks to using a spray gun? Thanks in advance for any help.

To make this fast and cheap---mix equal parts of Elmers glue and Behr Frazier fir latex---pour the whole batch into your garden hose----attach a spray nozzle--then turn on the water and spray--sprinkle the needle into the wet paint---done in minutes!

That 's not going to work silly. You need to use a stick welder to reattach them.

I'd just rip it out and re-tree. You can hook up the electric lights easier that way.

First you need to go buy a Festool vac for about $5000 so you can sweep up all the needles, then you need 5 or 10 gal of BIN (don't forget to Prime) then go to Benny Moore and get some Aura. then you need to get under the house and check how much deflection there is in your joists and you will need to know what kind of wood they are so you can figure the weight load You know maybe you should just get a structural engineer. Then you will need a sparky to check your amperage draw and if your wiring can carry the extra load of the lights on your tree. Oh and don't forget to rough sand each needle before you glue back on then you have to decide oil or latex paint. And whatever you do don't forget to pull a permit and get the proper licenses.

first off you should have gone to a real tree store.id go with 2 coats of paint and primer in one ,or 2 coats of lucite wall paint

I have not had a formal pine/fir Christmas tree for almost 20 years. -

I go out and cut the top (or a bush) that has lost it's needles (deciduous tree). Get a can or two of white spray paint and warm the tree/branch up before spraying in the garage. The decorations are a couple of strings of lights (white cords of course) and few silver balls. - Very simple and plain, but looks good. The first one was felled using my trusty Swiss army knife.

It is much easiler to break up and burn in fireplace after it dries out. I am foolishly tempted to hire a crane and decorate the 30-40' pine in the back yard, but that may not happen soon.

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but you are going to be fined $2,000,000 by the EPA. This tree was planted before 1978 thus it falls under RRP rules as it may have lead in it's root system and was not tested. I have to ask you do you enjoy poisoning little children. And what about asbestos testing. Mister I think you are looking at about 20 years for your dastardly deed. What do you have to say for yourself?
