How do you know if the paint on your house has lead in it?
My house is circa 1965 but I am not sure if the paint on there is the original paint. I want to say no but I have no clue.
We need to repaint as the paint is cracked and chipping off the wood siding. |

You can pick up a lead stick at any paint store. Its very easy to use. If you find out that there is lead, there are many rules that you will have to follow in accordance with the law.

they used lead based paint into the 1980's.
your top coat is probably not lead but the material under it probably is. Just dont eat the paint chips, wash your hands and clothes and recover all of the chips. you will be fine. |
