How do I paint a Turkey?

Ok........I just had to throw one last crazy question out there before we partake of Thanksgiving. There are some unbelievable questions asked on here so I thought I would try to top them all with this one..........consider it a bit of comic relief from all the serious questions asked on here!

You'll find everything you need at Home Depot - from top quality basters, to brushes, to oils, to bear & turkey paint.

You can do it. We can help.

If you're asking, you obviously are not qualified to paint a Turkey. Call your local licensed turkey painter and stay out of their way.

but when they are done, use a halogen light on the turkey to point out to the pro turkey painter where he forgot to feather it in.

How do I paint a Turkey?

Can you post some pictures?
How do you expect us to comment without images?
You could cover it in vinyl and never have to paint it again!

Has it been painted before?

Is it dead? Frozen?

Is it an historically protected heirloom variety or one of the turkeys spared by the President of the United States?

You really are planning to spray it?

How do I paint a Turkey?

Don't forget to clean it first with TSP (Turkey-So-Perfect). And rinse well.

First you need a 5’er of BIN about two thirds full. Then dunk the beast and let stew for three minutes, remove and let dry. If the bird is a Hen then a second coat of the primer is required. Then apply two coats of a quality latex paint of your choice. Note: Turkeys don't like Behrs

Here is a picture of the one I painted. I chose an analogous color scheme and used Behr primer and paint in one but the turkey was not real happy about it.
