High Gloss Paint for furniture

I like the look of Ikea's besta burs series, the high gloss surfaces. It's probably some sort of thermafoil/laminate. I'm not sure.

I have several pieces of furniture that I would like to refinish with the high gloss look. Is it possible to accomplish this with paint?

My name is Christine and I work in the paint department at The Home Depot.

There is a product, exclusive to The Home Depot, by Glidden that will work well for you. It is an oil- based, gel paint. It is called "Trim and Door" but I have been recommending it to people painting furniture and they have had great success with it. It leaves an ultra high gloss finish.
