Help me with the ceiling! PLEASE!

Hi there! I'm a DIY amateur and came for some help!

We have found deep cracks in the ceiling (which are a good 70 years old from what we can gather), so I mixed up some filler and away I went.

Anyway, my husband is mad because he says I have filled them too deeply and that it will show through the paint.

I was planning to do a good sand, then textured paint. What can I do to fix my over-enthusiastic filliing? What should I have done?

Is there any hope? Argh!!

Thanks in advance

apply a good coat of primer over all of ceiling, and you should be OK. This will give your finish coat a uniform substrate.
Tell hubby proper plaster crack repair is deep and beveled \-/ small opening at surface of ceiling. Don't rub his nose in this as you need him to help prime and paint.

good luck

You always should primer repairs before painting
Depending on the repairs, a full prime might be in order
