Help! How to mix paint colors

HELP! There is so much paint on this old furniture I now have, I can't stain it. I have used paint strip, paint thinner, sander, etc. Nothing will remove it all. Due to this problem I can't stain it. I do like the color of the stain I selected, does anyone know what colors I should mix to make GOLDEN PECAN? Thanks so much...

Nope. This is a hands on question, any one who thinks they can get this answer from an on line forum is hoping for the impossible.
Wish I could say it another way. Good luck- might get an idea at a good paint store if you can bring it in,or a pro who knows color and materials.

Have a funeral unless it is real hardwood furniture. But even then you have to decide how far you want to go with this, chemical strippers and so forth.

If it is looking crappy and is something like pine, there is one last trick taught me ages ago. Shellac the whole thing with full intent of then stripping the shellac and anything stuck to it from the wood grain.

Shellac is great stuff and almost like super glue will stick to antique finishes like you would not believe. Even those stuck in wood grain. To a point.

Ever heard the phrase, "The Man Needs a Good Shellacing?"

You will have to put stripper over it all. And hope for the best. Do not race the materials in terms of how long it all takes.

Not sure you can hope, really, for GOLDEN PECAN or whatever again.
