My children have grown up and left home. Now I have time to do some woodworking. I found this site while looking for a better way to stain pine. Pine seems to be the hardest wood to get a nice uniform look. If you have any tips for me, I would appreciate your ideas.... Thanks!

17,000 dryer fires a year, when did you last clean the inside of the dryer near motor or the exhaust ducting?
Hi Dusty, welcome to the forum. Pine is a soft wood, and doesn't absorb stain evenly, which could result in splotchy, dark areas. To prevent this, use a pre-stain conditioner. You can get it at the big boxes. Follow the directions. Good Luck.
