Heatgun

I tried searching for info on this subject in the forum but, couldn't find any.
I'm looking for advise on using a heatgun to speed up dry time on paint.
Normally I don't like to shortcut but, I have a piece that appearently wasn't quite cured on the first so when I picked it up off the dry rack to second coat the second side, it stuck a little and made little marks. I really need to get it done ASAP so that it can go in the mail.
Thanks for any help.

A heat gun will not dry it thoroughly, it will speed up the outer layer and not all the way through. What are you using, and what on? Some paints take 30 days to cure to full hardness, but handling is a different matter.
I use a blower fan daily for this, but also understand what it doesn't do - which is speed up curing.

If you need to get something out- dust very lightly with baby powder and put something soft and non stick between them..

To add a little to what brush has said, a hair dryer would be a better option than a heat gun, still only drying the surface but not as harsh
