Has anyone ever tried to recoat Rustoleum Epoxyshield clear coat?

My wife HATES the non slip additive. It looks like silica granules or even plain sand of some sort. Anyway, I just did the coat last night so I'm within the window of opportunity for a recoat. I'm thinking I might be able to do a second coat without the additive and glaze over it to reduce the texture. It's pretty goopy stuff. Has anyone ever tried this?

It would be best to check with the manufacturer.
