Groove prep for painting; vertical siding

My house is sided with 4x8 sheets of grooved painted vertical siding. The paint in the grooves is cracked. I need a relatively efficient way to remove the paint from the grooves in preparation for repainting. Any suggestions?

Gentle pressure washing will remove a lot of it.......then you can buy various scrapers in different shapes to get into the groves and remove what's left. You might even be able to use the side of a sponge sander to get into the groove and remove paint.
