I didn't know what advice/ideas anyone had for spicing up my house? We just built, but I'm debating on painting the garage doors or columns?? I didn't know if anyone had any ideas of what you'd do?? I'm modern in taste and I'd like to do something to spice up the outside?? Please don't mind the christmas garland falling down, I quick took this picture this morning....

Looks fine the way it is.
Just plants some small trees and some bushes.

You could paint the garage doors a dark accent colour to class it up.

Generally speaking, from my experience, garage doors are not considered trim, and thus are painted the siding color.

I'm with Joe, house looks great the way it is. You could paint the garage doors as ARC, Joe, and Chris suggested.......you could use a splash of color with the addition of shutters, but, I'm not so sure shutters would work on your home.

I agree. Of course, I'm a fan of simple and not cluttered.

A contrasting color on the entry door (which isn't seen in the picture, so it might already have such a color) could be a nice touch. Other than that, I think it's mostly a matter of some nice landscaping.

Thanks Everyone! The front door is a dark mahogonay (sorry spelling) color. I do need some more landscaping as well. I'm thinking a dark color for the garage door, I just didn't know if the house would be too dark looking then. I have a hard time visualizing, and I'd hate to do it and not like it!! Thanks again!!

Use high gloss for painting your garage.

Is this a little too much??

More importantly is the window sill on that left window part of the veneer. If so watch those mortar joints for leaks

I painted my garage floor last summer and I can't tell you what a difference it made to my whole home. I love opening the garage door and letting everyone see it. Turned out soo good. I'll post pics soon.

Not sure if your in a new development, but what always makes a huge difference is trees. If your community allows it street trees really add class and curb appeal. I cant really see from the photo. Nice house btw.
