freshly painted cabinets easy to scratch

I just finished painting my lower cabinets and notice it's really easy to scratch and chip. Is there a sealer I can use?

what type of surface prep and paint did you use. some paints will stay soft and will not fully bond or harden for several weeks. more info would help us give you a better answer..

Latex semi-gloss, for example, takes about 30 days to cure even though it skins over and dry to the touch quickly. You would not want to put a clear coating over it until it has cured or it might never.

Did you prime? If you painted without a quality bonding primer those puppies will scratch, chip, and peel. On my most recent job, I primed with CoverStain and topcoated with SW's Proclassic Semi-Gloss. After a month, the finish is cured to a rock hard finish......no need for a sealer.

what did you paint over? were the cabinets stained and cleared or painted? did you clean any of the dirt and grease off of them? did you sand?
