My husband and I recently decided to pair a whole house. We've done a few small painting projects in the past but we are still very new to painting. I went to Benjamin Moore to buy 15 gallons of paint. The girl recommended Regal paint. She went to the back to see if they had enough. She said they had just enough. I ga e her my color choice and paid. They mixed the color then helped me load it in my car. We painted a couple of rooms when I noticed that it says Ultra Spec on the 5 gallon pails. Before going there to question this, I wanted to ask on here to see if anyone has ever had this happen and do they ever put paint in the wrong tubs.

The paint comes from the factory in the cans- the stores just add tint.
If you we're supposed to get regal- see if your receipt says regal or Ultra Spec.
Sometimes they just use the product number- if that matches the can- then they rang you up as Ultra spec- Will be a fairly significant price difference.
If the receipt says regal- easy to make the case. If not- you will need to find the person who sold it to you and make the case.

The Ultra Spec is their new contractor grade paint, not bad but not the quality of regal ( or the new regal select)
