Does anyone know what type of paint I should use on external door trim? I recently used a latex pased paint but it peeled off completely within 2 days and i dont know why.

Thank You!

You need to sand and scrape the bad parts. Prep is everything. After, use a good primer and a wherein williams duration type product. Hope that helps. All exterior paints are latex. You can use an oil primer first though.

Andrew, if I was you, I would use a different ruse to attract people to your website. You claim to be a professional painter, but the content of the question and its frantic tone wouldn't give me much confidence in you or your business.

It is getting harder to get oil finishes, especially in some states with more rigid EPA regs. There are certainly alternatives to "latex". Some of the nano-tech finishes are starting to look promising. I used an antigraffiti paint that was silicon based and amazing.
