exterior windows painting help
 
bought my house 6yrs ago it has wood windows but the exterior part were the window itself meets the window frame is not painted and never has been. should it be painted during the summer you see it but in the winter the window is closed and you cant see it but does get condensation now and then. I dont want to paint it and have the window stuck closed. any suggestions

Sand smooth, slow dry oil prime, 2 (two) coats 100% acrylic exterior paint NOT from a big box store.

suggestions I have both BM AND SW stores near me, I also have 2 pints of valspar (i know) oil primer that was used on a earlier project. should I just chuck the valspar?

with the window being closed all winter is it possible to be stuck here is a pic dont know why it was never painted but it bothers me to have bare wood exposed

That wood doesn't look so good. Is it rotted?

no I poked it and its still in good shape just very weathered what products do you suggest

i have another feed peeling/flaking paint over stain in the chat room were the old homeowner painted over stain and was suggested a alkild primer will this work in both applications??

Go ahead and use the Valspare on both if it truely is oil based
