Exterior spackle
Did a Google search on exterior spackle, very confuseing.
I replaced some soffit 3/8 plywood. The soffit is flat, horizonal out of the weather. Lots of holes from stapler and a couple small uneven spots where boards meet. Can I use joint compound? I've got lot's of joint compound and soft sand. JIm |
 . the reason you cant is because it is for interior:huh:.in other words i don't know.probably has to do with moisture:yes: . but what i do know is i like to use ready patch its like a spackle on steroids:huh: it can be used exterior.home creepo sells it and some pro paint stores sell it. one small can about 5 bucks should do it.

Thanks guys
I bought the DAP because that is what they had. Such a waste, I used about 1/2 cup. IS there a for sale section here? |
I like this stuff. you only mix what you need, and the rest will last forever (as far as I can tell...)

Most spackles are made for interior OR exterior use.
