Exterior spackle

Did a Google search on exterior spackle, very confuseing.

I replaced some soffit 3/8 plywood. The soffit is flat, horizonal out of the weather.

Lots of holes from stapler and a couple small uneven spots where boards meet.

Can I use joint compound? I've got lot's of joint compound and soft sand.

Thanks guys

I bought the DAP because that is what they had. Such a waste, I used about 1/2 cup. IS there a for sale section here?

I like this stuff. you only mix what you need, and the rest will last forever (as far as I can tell...)

Most spackles are made for interior OR exterior use.

Fixed.
