Exterior Painting Questions (mainly re: gutters)

I have white leaf guard gutters in good condition installed, and I am wondering what I do about them when I paint my house this summer.

Can I paint them the same color as my trim? If so, how do I go about painting them (same paint?). If I go with a maroon trim, will the color turn out okay? I was planning on first spraying a primer that was recommended for my t-111 siding, then spraying the house color, then going over the trim pieces with a brush/roller in the trim color I choose.

See, my original plan was to go with a white trim, so I would just cover the gutters and paint around them, but now I'm considering a different color trim.

Also, my cement foundation currently has some over-spray from the last paint job. Should I just paint that the new color so it all blends in, or should I stay away from painting the cement?

Thanks.

I would not paint the gutters. Right now they are maintenance free. Once they are painted you must maintain them. Besides, white will go with whatever trim color you choose.

I always paint the foundation or parging.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking it might look funny having different color trim and gutters. I'll try to find some pictures of houses with a set up like that.

Also gutters will typicly have a baked on glossy finish. Very tough to get paint to stick to it.
