Installing a patio using block and flagstone for materials. The patio stone meets the house against the top of the foundation wall between the siding and grade. This puts an "ugly" 1 - 1.5 ft. gray concrete wall between the new patio stones and the brick-siding exterior wall. I am thinking about painting this section prior to placing the patio stone. Any suggestions about prepping the concrete, type of paint to utilize, any textured products or glue on panels that would add to, rather than detract from, the project?
Putting that patio really close to the bottom of that siding may cause spalsh back damage to the siding.
Look up "Parging", it's a way to texture the block.
Dri-Lok could be used.
