Drying time and painting a front door
I have to re stain a front door to a house, and something occurred to me before I start.
If I have to take the front door off of it's hinges to sand off the old stain before I begin the refinishing process. Doesn't that whole process take at least a couple of days to dry in total?
Meaning, how is someone supposed to have a missing front door to their house for that amount of time? What are they supposed to do about a missing front door over night!
What are your methods for speeding up the process without compromising quality?
Take it down in the morning, sand and stain it, put it back on overnight.
Then do the final finish the next morning, allow to dry all day, then replace before beddybye time.
