Door finish


Well WB poly didn't come out as smooth as I would have liked. I've never had good results with WB clear coats.

No question, just venting.
It's just not like working lacquer. Not that I do a lot of finishing.

No, I don't think it ever will be. Water-emulsion coatings won't handle anything like their higher-quality solvent-borne versions. Emulsions are different physical structures from solutions.

This is the result of the Government trying to legislate science. Still, this is the work-product of our elected representatives, doing what they have decided is in everyone's best interests. I don't see the regulatory environment changing back to allowing consumers the opportunity to use higher-performance products, and as long as all the coatings companies are constrained by the same set of rules, there's no opportunity or incentive for any one of he coatings manufacturers to offer better technology.
