Does anyone know what this paint color code is/means: HL-27

Does anyone know what this paint color code is/means: HL-27

This is a cream colored paint for my baseboards and trim. The can is just a plain metal can.

I need to order more of this paint, but can't tell what brand it is, or what that code means.

TIA

According to Google:

Synthetic wig Retro Hot, Forever Young wig collection, color HL27/613

Synthetic wig Retro Hot, color HL27/613, Forever Young wig collection. Skin top. Available Colors: 1, 8/12/24BHL, 8/12/27HL, 16/22HL, 24B27C

I guess the 613 must have faded. Do I get a prize.

Honestly, I would take it to the most likely paint store you got it from and ask them. Short of that they can match it up.

A small sample painted on a scrap piece of wood is enought to get a color match at any real paint store. Even Lowes and HD can match it.

I would just take the whole can. They'll draw down the sample they need to match. Are you using this for touch-up or doing full repaints? If you're doing touch-up, I would try to take something already painted. After a couple of years exposure to light, what's in the can and what's on the wall/trim is not exactly the same thing. If it's a cabinet, take a door. I've even cut a surface section off the drywall to get a match, and just patched it along with all the other patching, but I had nothing else to go by. If you're doing a full repaint, just take the can.

Any paint store can try to match. I have had mixed results from the big box stores. Try an actual paint store. They really are the experts and have had far more experience dealing with color and sheen matching.

I did have a good experience with HD. I went in one night to get a quick match I could pick up in the morning. This young girl, early 20's, sweet, young, never mind. Thought I was in trouble, but left it reluctantly. Went in the next morning to pick it up, and she nailed it. I couldn't even see where she put the sample on. It was that good. I was impressed a second time. Went if a few weeks later and asked about her, not looking for a match, as she wasn't one anyway. She had left the company. I guess water does seek its own level. Just another one night stand.
