Do they make a extra long roller?

So it seems like most rollers are a standard wide of like 12-18". Do they make one that's like 24" or even 36"?

And if they don't...why not?

My naivety is making itself known here...but wouldn't a wider roller mean you paint more in less time?

Try picking up and rolling a wall with a fully loaded 36" roller. I'll give you two minutes before you put it down and say to hell with it. That's a lot of weight to hold up for an extended time. Also the wider the roller the harder it is to get an even coverage if your walls are not perfectly flat, and believe me they aren't.

A pro oriented paint supplier will have wider rollers and pans. As mentioned, they do get heavy when you load them with paint. You may find you do not like them so much. In all the years, I have seldom used them.

Amen to the weight problem.........once did a house with an 18" colossus roller. It did cover faster but the hand, arm, shoulder fatigue makes for some long days. Also difficult to get tight into corners. A 9" is plenty fast enough if you keep moving.........

14" open end is my favorite size. But I need to get them online.
