Long story short, I am painting over a dark sky blue bedroom with yellow stars all over it/ (we purchased the house like this)
I've cleaned it. Sanded it. Washed it down and spackled where needed. I found 3 cans of Zissner 123 bullseye in my garage and thought I hit jackpot since I didn't have to go out and purchase a primer.

I opened up the cans and they were medium gray in color. I know primers can be either white, gray or tinted to the color you will eventually paint HOWEVER this gray looks really dark and I'm wondering if I'll be able to paint a lighter color (peach or light yellow, even tan) over this primer or will I have to go over the walls again with a white primer? One coat of this gray stuff did cover the blue well.
I really want to get this right the first time since it's a project i'm doing without the husband glaring over me!

Any advice??
