Concrete patio paint

bjlffire Newbie   Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 21	Concrete patio paint I have a concrete patio that was painted by formr owner. The paint is coming up and looks bad. The concrete is a brom finish/texture and the patio is covered. What should I do? Power wash dry repaint? wire brush the whole ting then paint? Can I use the epoxy garage floor stuff? Thanks

mustangmike3789 NACE Coating Inspector     Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Florida Posts: 523	Concrete patio paint remove as much of the existing coating as you can by scraping and pressure washing. allow the concrete to dry for at least 24 hours and apply 2 coats of solvent stain. do not use epoxy coatings in direct sunlight or it will chalk and amber rapidly.
