Concrete basement floor paint

I was surprised finding your location, from your other posts, so far "East Coast", wow; http://maps.google.com/ You live closer to Spain than to me...just across the water, lol.

I would not waste any paint unless trying to use it up as a temp. decoration. The slab temps in the spring/summer lag behind winter temps leaving your basement floor cool where outside warmer air could condense on the concrete- painted or not; pp.4; http://www.buildingscience.com/docum...g-your-basment
Average slab temps are about 10*F warmer than surface water temps because it is 6' below-grade; "Surface water temperatures on the Atlantic side reaches a summer average of 12 C (54 F) inshore and 9 C (48 F) offshore to winter lows of −1 C (30 F) inshore and 2 C (36 F) offshore." From; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geograp...d_and_Labrador

The Delta FL is good, as is foamboard/furring strips or f.b./plywood as the link said. http://www.cosella-dorken.com/bvf-ca...roducts/fl.php

No reason to paint (esp. Driloc $$) or seal the slab, as said; the products equalize any pressure drive from below, fig.3; http://www.buildingscience.com/docum...ms?full_view=1
