CIL Woodcare Hybrid (latex/oil) Semi-Transparent Exterior Wood Stain

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this product in the Ottawa, Ontario area?

We have been searching for a stain for our large cedar deck for months. (Deck is surrounded by privacy walls - 1/3 of the wall is skirting and 2/3 of the wall is louvered - (Flex fence). Big job, so we want to do the job properly the first time. We will wait until the spring and clean and sand properly and make sure it is dry - want to make sure the product penetrates.

Checked out all the top products, Sikkens, Cabots, Benjamin Moore...Sikkens SRD was highly recommended. We purchased many gallons of different colours of stain now sitting in our garage and tried many samples on boards in stores, but the only colour we liked for the walls is a CIL Woodcare Hybrid (Latex/Oil) Semi-Transparent.

Has anyone in the Ontario area used this product before on their deck? Do you need two coats or is one sufficient?

I have had great results with latex wood sealers. one in particular, from Anchor Coatings, www.anchorcoatings.com, Natural Sealant 104, clear sealant.
