Chainlink Fence

I have about 60ft of fence that needs to be painted.. Someone I know not working anywhere offered to do the job.. Looking for opinions on how much to pay for this work....... Thanks

It will vary greatly by region
He wouldn't be getting pro painter's wages, as he doesn't carry insurance and overhead etc.
To give you an idea, supermarket baggers start at $11 an hour out here (!)
Painter's helper's start at $15 an hour

I'd estimate the time you think it should take to paint the fence, multiply that by the hourly, and settle on a fee rather than pay "by the hour"
Both parties usually end up happier that way

The person ( family relative ) doing this has never done this before....... and he's not very fast. So taking the experience, plus his rate of motivation is a factor... I've heard some people who have paid $15 an hour for hire, and the worker milking it for hours..... I understand the $11 supermarket bagger wage. We have some of those here who still put the eggs on the bottom of bag, and the cans on the top,,,

Yeah, it's better to have a set price
