Ceiling paint sheen options...
Looking for some tips on ceiling paint sheen. I'm painting an entire house for my parents retirement house renovation. I have about half the rooms painted, all the rooms my mom wanted same color on walls and ceiling except living room is white ceiling with white crown molding. The white ceiling I planned and bought flat ceiling paint...that should have tipped me off that all ceilings are suppose to be flat (as I've now been told). I've been using satin on the walls and ceiling in the other rooms (actually bought semi-gloss by accident in two rooms). One of the colors she picked was a Benjamin Moore which when I went to get I got a bit of a lesson from the nice guy about how the ceiling should be flat...I hadn't thought of that with the colored ceiling rooms.
Question is should I really be buying another gallon of each of these colors in flat to do the ceilings? How noticable will this be to the overall look of the house?
Thanks for any tips or suggestions.
