Cedar Wood Painting - Professional Advice
I am restoring my Cedar Siding this year and I am overwhelmed about what decision should I make. It seems like I can't find anyone to give me advice.
I know for sure I want to go semi-transparent for the siding, just debating whether to go one or two coats. The biggest dilemma is the trim, which I would like to paint it with solid color. Here are the choices I have for solid colored trims:
1) Chicory color (brown , look at the attachment image, last picture)
2) Night fox, grayish and matches the windows (look at attachment also, last picture)
Looking at the pictures, I have painted a small section with semi-transparent Chestnut. One section is labeled as one coat and the other as two coats. What do you recommend me to do?
A) Chestnut Semi-Transparent for Siding and Chicory Trim
B) Chestnut Semi-Transparent for Siding and Night Fox Trim (matches window)
C) Chestnut Semi-Transparent for Siding all the way, including trims and no solid at all
D) Give me your own suggestions of colors!
Thank you so much for your input
If you look at the first pic, the brown you have on the right I would pick fo the body and the color on the left that matches the windows for the trim.
