Caulking Crown

I have caulked the top(where meets the clg.) no problem but there a few spots where it looks like it needs caulk on the bottom of the crown, where it meets the wall. Are you suppose to caulk the bottom. I did a little are and it looks odd/noticeable.Maybe because the wall is beige amd not white like the ceiling???

Yep if the wall is painted not papered and it sounds like it is it needs to be caulked there.Ideally it would be caulked before the wall was painted. If you are trying to caulk and not paint the wall,Wipe it out good with a damp cloth and paint the bottom edge of the crown with the trim paint to cover the caulking. If you have the wall paint after caulking touch it up before you trim out the crown.

If you have a little of the wall paint left over there are caulks that can be tinted with paint to match the wall color perfectly. 'Exact Color' is one. Available at BM.
If no touch up paint is available, maybe you can find a stock color that looks closer to the wall than white. Like almond or something.
