can I paint (with a brush) spray paint?

I know how silly that question sounds, but essentially I used a high gloss white spray paint (or 'enamel', whatever that is) on my trim I used for a mirror frame.

Problem is, my frame didn't come out 100% perfect and I needed to use a thin line of putty/spackle at the corners (millimeter or two at the worst spots), and since it's in the bathroom I figure both for color/uniformity and for mold/mildew I need to get some paint on that spackle.


The troubles of prepping for spraying in there is quite a pain (between ventilation and protecting from overspray), that I was wondering if I could basically spray that white spraypaint into a cup or something in my garage, and go inside with a throwaway brush to do those little spots.




seems to make sense but also seems, well, weird, so I figured I'd ask lol!!

I'm not a pro painter, but if it were me, I'd tape off the corners with newsaper pieces taped for backspray coverage, and just spritz the four corners directly.
It should take enough spray paint to create any problems in the bathroom.

Not weird at all. Just spray the paint into the cap off the can. lay it on fairly heavy with only one or two strokes in hopes that it will level out to match the spray.

I probably should've had the foresight to know that, cutting 4 lengths of trim and using 4 corner pieces, that my skills with a handsaw (w/o a table or anythign lol) certainly wouldn't have given me perfect 90deg edge cuts that'd line up flawless, yet I still went ahead and painted before installing lol. Lesson learned!!
