Can I mix my own color tint using concrete coloring powder/pigment?
I'm about to stucco my home, and will be using white stucco with a tan pigment powder for my final coat.
I was worried about trying to color match the stucco for details/pipes/wires/etc, but then I got to thinking that maybe I can just pour some of that tan powder into white paint, little by little, til I get the color exact. Is there anything that I'm missing, or will that work fine? |
I've never tried that so can't say definitively, but I sure wouldn't do it.
That powder will likely ruin the durability properties of the paint. The paint store, or home depot will match the paint for you at no charge. |
I agree with joewho
I've never tried it, but that's because I'm sure it won't work |
Really? Damn, I never would've thought that! Well thanks a lot for the advice, I guess that extra bucket of matte white in the garage will stay as such, and I'll be bringing my samples in!
