Caliwel type paint available?

Anyone have experience with Caliwel paint? I wanted to combat mildew on my walls.

I was also seeking a cheaper priced paint like Caliwel if anyone knows of one.

Thank you.

If you have mildew growing on the walls you might want to figure why and fix that first.
You can add this to any paint.

My thoughts exactly.I have never heard of Caliwel but there are several mildew resistant/mildew proof paints in various brands....don't forget you get what you pay for.

Must really like painting if you want to use cheap paint.
It will take more coats and fail faster in most cases.

Thanks for the advice.

I have toddlers at home. I have heard the mildew additives can be toxic to kids? Does anyone know how long the additive lasts? I currently have kilz mildew primer on the walls and it is not working.

The moisture is from the uninsulated walls. I live in a 1954 home and I guess they thought the air pockets would be good enough.

Will the dry mildew additive work just as well from Home Depot? It's only about $8 per gallon of paint.

You have mold growing and your worred about a mildicide?
Primer is poris, to much humidy in the room and you have mold.

Did anyone say he had to buy a case of it? Not me. You can buy a small pack of it for a gal. or a single bottle at any hardware, paint store, Home Depot.

Easy there, Joe, just busting your chops all in good fun. No, he doesn't have to buy a case. In fact, I wouldn't buy any at all. I have found the mildewcides that are added to paint are ineffectual. You are more than correct to say that the mold needs to be removed and the root causes need remedied before doing anything to the paint. Let's be honest here. Any where there is moisture and something (paint, in this case) for the mildew to feast on, you will have mildew/mold growth.
