What is the best brush for Behr premium solid color stain?

A broom would work for Behr, probably the worst product out there

Depends on what your staining.
If it's a deck then any mid priced 4" brush will work.
If it's railings and ballisters, I'd use a 2" sash brush.

I've used Baur solid stain a few times when a customer supplyed the materials on bare new wood siding and never had an issure with it.

I prefure, Cabots or Olympic if I'm buying it.

You should use a good quality brush for stain just like you would for anything else or the paint will not flow properly and you will be picking bristles out the finish. This will not matter with Behr since the finish will not last very long anyhow and the bristles stuck to the surface will provide protection the Behr product will not.

Seriously? If you have railing spindles or other details to paint I would pick a 2.5 to 3" angled sash brush ($15-20 retail). If the brush is for siding or decking a 4 incher ($30-35?) is a good choice as anything much larger gets heavy when loaded with paint/stain. I assume you are working with the water based product so rinse the brushes out periodically so drying stain does not build up on you. Wash brushes thoroughly after each day's work---don't leave them sitting in water.
